Rose Cafasso prides herself on being Frank Sinatra's #1 fan. And, she's probably right! Rose was one of the original bobby soxers swooning over Sinatra when he performed at the Paramount Theater in NYC in 1942. Check out these short black and white news clips shot during the "Sinatra Craze" for a newsreel segment entitled, "Frank Sinatra Causes Riot at the Paramount." It shows how passionate these young women were for their idol.
Rose continues to listen to Sinatra day in and day out. She says that, during her lifetime, she went to see him perform "more times than I can count."
Everyone deserves to be heard. I loved making a short film about Rose. Her story and her life experiences, along with her passion for the man she calls "the greatest performer who ever lived," is poignant and worth being shared with the world.
